Excited for the 49ers to play in the Super Bowl
My son is so spoiled: in his nine years he has seen his San Francisco Giants win the World Series twice and now his 49ers are going to the Super Bowl. He doesn’t quite understand why this is not a regular thing. Or that the 49ers haven’t been a championship-worthy team in over ten years. He’s just pretty excited that this year the 49ers are playing in the big game which happens to also fall on his birthday.
We’re all hoping he gets a Super Bowl win for his birthday!
So, while I research recipes and ideas for this special gathering at our house, we’ll have a simple week of meals to keep things easy and have lots of leftovers for lunches. Here’s what our meal plan looks like:
Monday – Macaroni and cheese
Tuesday – Mexi bowls with roasted cauliflower
Wednesday – Sloppy Joe’s by Jamie Oliver
Thursday – Slow cooker coconut ginger chicken and vegetables from Aimee at Simple Bites
Friday – Bird’s Nest with roasted pototoes
What are your Super Bowl Sunday plans? Have any recipes to share? I could use a few new ideas!

I’m keeping it simple this year. Chili, cornbread, and maybe some veg and dip to snack on. Maybe….
